Martyn Williams endorses Mumbles Brewery Six Nations Ale

22nd January 20170
Martyn Williams: “Many Wales supporters love drinking rugby ales when watching the team in a pub, they can also support a good cause with Mumbles Brewery donating 1p for every pint of Red Nugget to Velindre Cancer Centre.”
The ale is 4.3% ABV and has a reddish colour, created in collaboration with a Cardiff pub quiz winning team, The Nick Brain Experience (see photos below). By winning the City Arms Pub Quiz they gained the opportunity to design a new ale. Dave Goodwin is a big fan of Martyn Williams and when given the choice of Nugget hops made the connection with Martyn’s nick name. Head brewer Rob Turner said “everything fell into place from there, creating an exciting new single hop ale supporting a very worthwhile charity.”
Rob thanks the City Arms landlord Chris Rowlands for having the ingenious idea for the prize. This gorgeous ale will be available there and at and many other pubs across South Wales during the Six Nations.
Below Quiz team members Fenella and Nick dig out the grains, whilst Dave puts hops into the Copper. Other members include Andy, Jenni, Alison and Hugh.
